Last night Owen was talking about his piggy bank and how he was saving money for his "future". At one point he decided he wasn't going to save it for his future anymore. Instead, he says he is going to use it all to buy me a pretty necklace when he grows up. Then I praised him for wanting to save money, noting that some people spend all their money on things they don't need, and then they don't have any more.
K: "You know, some kids don't save their money. They spend it all on candy and toys."
O: "... and vacuums..."
K: "Yes, of course, vacuums."
O: "... and flashlights."
K: "Yes."
Owen, however, has the solution to this problem. When you run out of money, you simply hop in your car and go to the "money store" and buy some more... you guessed it, money. Ingenious.
